Shopify diagnostic / A small paid first step
One problem.
A useful first piece of work.
Get a clear view of one buying journey before committing to a redesign. Judge Stage 7 by the work delivered, then decide what comes next.
Paid, one-off engagement. The written quote confirms the fee, currency, applicable taxes, payment schedule and delivery date before you commit. No work starts without an accepted scope. No retainer or automatic continuation.
Mention “Shopify diagnostic” and share the store URL and the buying problem. The introductory conversation carries no obligation to buy.
What is covered.
One Shopify store, one agreed market and one purchase journey across up to three page types—for example, collection → product → cart. One representative URL or state per page type, reviewed on mobile and desktop.
The review includes the visible journey, available merchant-provided evidence and the most important unanswered questions. If analytics are unavailable or unreliable, the report makes that limitation clear.
What you receive.
An annotated review
A PDF with screenshots, observed friction and up to five prioritised findings. Each finding separates evidence from assumptions and explains why it matters.
One proposed wireframe
An annotated wireframe for the highest-priority page area, with mobile and desktop layouts. It shows the recommended direction, not a finished theme.
A practical implementation brief
Recommended changes in priority order, dependencies, acceptance checks and a measurement plan. Your team can use it to scope implementation with Stage 7 or another partner.
A handover and clarification round
A 30-minute walkthrough plus one consolidated round of questions or factual corrections submitted within seven calendar days of handover. Changes to the agreed journey or additional design options need a separate quote.
A bounded start and finish.
Before kickoff: agree the journey, representative pages, deliverables, fee and delivery date in writing. Share the store URL, the main concern, relevant delivery or returns rules and any existing evidence.
Delivery window: five business days from the agreed kickoff once the required inputs are available. Missing inputs or scope changes are discussed and any new date is agreed in writing.
At handover: review the deliverables against the agreed scope. You keep the report, wireframes and brief. Choose to implement, investigate further or stop there.
What is outside the scope.
Theme development, live-store edits, a full redesign, migration, app installation, checkout customisation, analytics repair, customer recruitment and running an experiment are excluded. No ad spend or software subscription is included.
The diagnostic recommends what to investigate or build. It does not guarantee a conversion or revenue improvement. Any implementation or measurement engagement is quoted and approved separately.
Access stays limited.
A public-store review can begin without admin access. If supporting evidence is needed, share relevant reports or grant only the agreed access. Do not send passwords or customer-level exports through the enquiry form. The diagnostic makes no production changes.
Feedback comes after delivery.
Stage 7 asks what was useful and what could have been better after the work is handed over. Permission to document the engagement and permission to quote feedback are requested separately.
You can approve either, both or neither. Nothing is published until you approve the exact text, screenshots, figures and attribution. Private feedback stays private; saying no does not affect the service.
Evaluate the approach first
Bring one buying problem.
Share the store URL, the journey in question and what would make the diagnostic useful. Stage 7 will confirm fit and send the written scope and fixed-fee quote.
